Late Pitch Week Feed Back & Review

Pitch Week

So after crit week i realized i had still to put the outcome of the previous pitch, In this pitch I mainly focused on showing the work I had done leading up to the pitch. The theme featuring the animatic  I personally thought it was a disaster after struggling the get the computer to work with my laptop resulting in me using my back up on the flash drive.  In this presentation I try to mainly convey the story of the animation I was creating along with the concept designs for the character and environment. It was a quick presentation because I had settled in a fast speed in order to describe the actions of the animatic.

The Feedback at first from my perspective was somewhat worrying. However, after reflecting on what was said I had interpreted the information wrong.

Some of the thing suggested or asked:

I was asked if I had considered the chain of progress my characters have while thinking, concluding and acting.

In what form is the project happen and some concern toward the amount I was trying to achieve. This was because I had no specified that I was doing a 3D animation with Educational Rigs (Eleven rig) Modified to look more like my characters. So the interpretation I had given was  that I was planning to model characters, Environment, Rig and go through the whole process.

So I was advised to make sure I clarify these point in my next presentation. There was also comments about the anatomy from the animatic drawings this was about somewhere there was a  broken back.

It was suggested that instead of making the full animation  i could focus on key points of the animation & story that conveys the aim and objective of my project. (. How acting theory's and tool contribute to the display of emotion and how emotion motivates actions reactions and interactions to show personality).

The final outcome, I probably view the presentation in a more negative context. However the questions and advice given, Would work wonders within my project. I was given idea on how I can approach the animation along with points that i should also convey to audience while presenting. Though at the time i did come out of pitch vowing that it wouldn't happen again.
