Developing Mary & Walk Cycle Transition

So After reading yesterday I wanted to try animating a character while listening to a song for its rhythms influence. So i spent most of the day animating Marys walk cycle or at least how i would picture her to walk from the descriptions i made so far.

The following video Has 10 Stages of the animation however the actual animation file is only 1second long.

The 10 Stages are split to around 3 seconds each in this video, These stages are the passes in which different principles are being added.
Stage 1 - Legs Only
Stage 2 + Arms
Stage 3 + Head
Stage 4 + Weight
Stage 5 + Hip Twist
Stage 6 + Shoulder Twist
Stage 7 + Spine
Stage 8 + Spine & Head Balance
Stage 9 + Refinement
Stage 10 + Widening Arm the arcs

Stages 9 and 10 are the closest to what i have pictured Mary to walk like. However, two parts that are bothering me are the arm and the sway of her torso which don't quite feel right of my own opinion. The movements make the walk look ( I cant quite describe it) Loopy ? but the other attempts of positioning the arms made her character be off towards a forceful and determined vibe. I feel that the animation could use another viewpoint.

So after finishing to this stage I'm left the same as any other animation i produce Is there personality in this? Mary moves to close to the Rhythm of the song i picked but since this is a walk cycle on the spot it rather limited... This makes me wonder if i should use the same song but have a much more varied amount of action allowing her to change and adapt to the songs highs and lows.

Despite this i feel its probably my best walk cycle so far because it has factored in everything i could remember having forgetting in my other attempts. I will most likely do a walk cycle for Lilly also in order to help develop her character more.

Also here the song I used as Inspiration/Reference
