First Animation Test

Animation Test Thumb Drawings (Sketchbook)

Finished my first test animation of the planned sequence, Though after working on it for this amount of time I actually forgot what I was aiming to achieve.  Not only did the animation turn out shorter than I expected but  it also missing parts which I overlooked during planning. I could spend more time on sorting this but the scope of this test has already been achieved which was to try the capabilities of the rig and my animation ability.

After the test I can tell that some areas I should look into or practice is:

  1. Timing
  2. Slow In/So Out
  3. Exaggerations.

One of the goals was to achieve two character personalities. However , I'm  unsure if I have achieved this. Both characters feel different from each other but this may only be due to the facial expressions each character shows. So instead of achieving separate personalities instead I may be closer to making two separate emotions.

(Animation Test Part 2-Norman Rig)

One of the more surprising realizations was attempting to animate one of the characters pointing up. As I was animating this movement It was surprisingly difficult to get a believable movement, Which I still feel wasn't accomplished compared to the point made by the character who pointed towards the other.

I have also began to consider what my next two test animations will be, Which will aim toward both demonstrate Emotion and Power centers.

During these tests I will be using the Norman Rig which is sourced from the 11second Club resources: http://www.11secondclub.com/resources
